Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

DEATH JOURNEY GUIDANCE - WHAT CAN I DO?

From the moment we are born, we are all moving toward our death.  In the great mystery of life, we don’t know when that will be or what form it will take.  This uncertainty can lull us into thinking we have a lot of time to think about and plan for the kind of death we would most like to have.  It can also make us think that there’s no point in making plans because we can’t totally control what happens.  Culturally, we are not often encouraged to think about our own mortality and often aren’t familiar with the wide range of options that exist for us at the end of our lives.

This is where Death Journey Guidance comes in. My goal is to be a companion and advocate as I assist in planning, providing support, delivering respite care, making referrals, and offering helping hands to individuals, families, and friends as people prepare for and face the end of a life. My focus is to meet the unique non-medical needs of each person by honoring their wishes before, during, and after death.

It is equally important to clarify what Death Journey Guidance is NOT as it relates to end of life needs. I am not a counselor/social worker, medical provider, physical caregiver, or legal/financial advisor, However, I can help identify resources for you in these and related areas.
